Located at 30226 US-51 in Ponchatoula, LA, Fatboy's Seafood Kitchen is a hidden gem that’s been delighting patrons for over eight years. Despite its understated exterior, diners are consistently wowed by the quality and flavor of the food within.

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food was delicious. Myself and 3 friends stumbled upon it on the way to catch a cruise and glad we did. If I am ever in the area again I would stop again.

This was a great gem found completely by venturing off the beaten path! It's open for business throughout the week, not just Saturday (it was just the only hours we remembered). Our family was hoping to find some great southern seafood and we definitely found it here! All five of us ordered a different Poboy: Gator, Oyster, Shrimp, Catfish, and French Fry (with hot beef and gravy) and they were all FRESH and FANTASTIC!! 8 years of being open and nobody ever put this place on the map... Can't believe it!! Well, glad we could!

Don’t pass this little hole in the wall up don’t let it fool ya! The food is delicious and the food is fresh and hot. The service was awesome. We got the fried shrimp plate which was butterflied shrimp. They were huge like really big. The shrimp plate cost 14.99. It comes with lots of shrimp, coleslaw, french fries and toast. We also got a fried catfish plate cost 14.99. It also come with lots of fried catfish french fries, coleslaw and toast. The food was seasoned perfectly. The food was fresh, service was awesome. She always kept coming back asking if we needed anything. The only thing I wish would be that they had fountain drinks but hey that’s OK. I’m happy with good food good service I can settle for a can Coke. The roast poboy is delicious too. I’ve had them so if you’re out and wanna try something different, enjoy the scenery take a drive and give them a try they’re really good..

On the way back home from Grand Aisle my husband had me look up places to have lunch. I searched restaurants on Google Maps on our way back. I saw a few, but the names didn't sound too interesting & their photos, rating and views didn't either. Then I came across this place. I was intrigued by the name Fatboy's Seafood Kitchen. Then I looked at the photos & they looked delicious we were looking for a burger . The place looked like a little hole in the wall & those are the best places, honestly. For an appetizer we ordered mozzarella sticks that are served with home made salsa - delicious . My husband ordered the Fatboy Burger - he ate almost the whole thing then ordered a to go box. I ordered the Swamp Burger pepper jack cheese, Ooowee talk about a good burger. The meat is a thick patty & the toppings make it stack so high. I love the bread it comes on. I had to use a fork & knife to eat it, but so worth it. The owner is so nice! We also had 3 sodas. We spent around 45 then I left a mediumish-largish tip. Would definitely come back. 100/10 recommend.

Awesome little place hidden by the large chain seafood restaurant next door. We chose to stop here on our way back to Baton Rouge from the Whitney Plantation and are so glad we did. The staff was friendly and the food was some of the best we’ve had since we hit Louisiana. Tom ordered 1/2 Shrimp 1/2 Catfish and said the catfish is quite possibly the best he’s had. One of the girls and I ordered the shrimp and it was cooked perfectly and the breading was light and crispy. The other child had the shrimp pasta that was tasty and filling.
